The L-1011 Airliner FrSKY Servo Placement Plan

FrSky RC Servo Selection and Placement Plan Includes: HV5611, H5701, HV5403, BLS5405H, RB-30, and SR8 PRO receivers

The primary electronics and servo stack for the 1:20 scale L-1011 UAV will be driven by FrSKY electronics and components.

BLS5405H

FrSky BLS5405H Xact STD Servo

The unique “flying-wing” design of the L-1011 means the entire horizontal stabilizer moves to control this big boy’s pitch. The BLS5405H will be responsible for handling this critical flight control system.

Specs:

  • Full metal gears & CNC aluminum housing

  • Programable by F Port 2.0

  • Real time Telemetry

  • 4.8-8.4V operating range

  • 360° travel

  • 72 grams with 26.2kgf per cm @ 8.4V

HV5611

FrSky HV5611 Servo

The aircraft’s 4 ailerons will be equipped with the FrSKY Xact HV6611 coreless servos. It is a rare configuration fro RC airplanes to have 4 ailerons, but to stay more true to scale, this bird will fly with 4 fully functional ailerons.

Specs:

  • 8.4V capable - 3.7-8.4V Operating range

  • CNC aluminum case & metal gears

  • Built in dual ball bearings with potentiometer sensor

  • Supports over current and over hot monitoring alarm

  • Supports F Port 2.0, SBUS, PWM

  • 333Hz max refresh rate


HV5701

FrSky H5701 Servo

The 4 H5701 Xact servos will be responsible for articulating the aircrafts spoilers in addition to opening and closing the landing gear bay doors.

  • 6.5g

  • High precision with 0 slop

  • Built in hall sensor

  • Programmable travel angle

  • CNC aluminum case & metal gears

  • Telemetry: current/temperature/ travel angle

  • Port Types: FP2 (FBUS), PWM, SBUS

FrSky HV5403 Servo

To drive the large rudder on this scale airliner, the HV5403 will be tasked with managing yaw

Specs:

  • 77.5 Grams with 49.4kfg per cm max torque @ 8.4V

FrSky RB-30 24 Channel Servo Interface

The heart of the onboard electronics system is FrSKY’s RB-30. Boasting 24 channel servo interface, triple receiver capability, dual power input for extra redundancy, flight stabilization.

  • Dual power and triple receiver capable

  • High voltage servos supported with up to 24 PWM servos

  • Overload protection on all channels

  • Built in Gyro sensor for flight stabilization

  • Compatible with FrSKY S.Port products

SR8 PRO receivers

SR8 Pro 8/24 Channel Telemetry Receiver

The dual SR8 Pro receiver set up will increase the channel capability of the aircraft when communicating with the transmitter.

  • 15 grams

  • 3.5 - 10V operating range

  • 8 High precision PWM channels

  • >2km control range

  • Supports 16 SBUS channels with 24 channel expected in an update

  • Compatible with all FrSKY Access transmitters
